I am a huge fan of colours but in the last two years orange has caught my eye. For me it’s a colour you can use all year round. You just need to understand how to team your orange with the rest of your wardrobe. I sent out a tweet yesterday about the colour orange, and it got me thinking.
What does orange mean anyway? Why am I encouraging you to wear it?

Why Wear Orange – The Psychology
The colour orange radiates warmth and happiness, combining the physical energy and stimulation of red with the cheerfulness of yellow. Orange relates to ‘gut reaction’ or our gut instincts, as opposed to the physical reaction of red or the mental reaction of yellow. Orange offers emotional strength in difficult times. It helps us to bounce back from disappointments and despair, assisting in recovery from grief. You can read more about colours here.
What Goes With Orange
It’s a colour that is very versatile and it can be worn as loud or as discrete as you choose. Now at a recent fashion event I had my orange oversize leather bag. I then noticed some fine well dressed Scandinavian guys, together we just connected. The fact that I was wearing orange does gets you noticed and is a nice ice- breaker when meeting people. Have a look at the images below and observe the multiple of colours we are all choosing to wear. Then look how powerful orange can complete your outfits.

Wear Orange When Kick Starting Your Business
In the last few months I have been taking my orange leather bag everywhere for one reason alone. Orange aids in the assimilation of new ideas and frees the spirit of its limitations, giving us the freedom to be ourselves. At the same time it encourages self-respect and respect of others. I am a living example of this because when I put that orange leather bag on show in my meetings, I can see the thought process of the business people observing my bag. It’s clear this woman is not afraid to express herself no matter how high profile the meeting is.
