Red Bull Catwalk Studio
Over the last two years Red Bull Catwalk Studio has been working with one of the UK’s brightest emerging fashion talents, Alex Mattsson, creating some of the most explosive live presentations ever seen at London Collections: Men through musical partnerships with the likes of Brooke Candy and Zebra Katz. Partnering for one last time, Red Bull Catwalk Studio and Alex Mattsson have created a short film based on his AW14 “Glimpse The Eternal” collection. Inspired by inner space – the inner space of the subconscious that can only be glimpsed through meditation, drugs or dreams – this inner universe creates the most intricate and divine dimensions and inspirations as represented through this season’s prints. The film marks the reunion of Mattsson and Brooklyn based rapper and fashion darling Zebra Katz who worked together on Red Bull Catwalk Studio AW13. The film features the track LST CTRL.

Alex Mattsson says “Being a young and independent label I feel hugely priviledged to have a company like Red Bull not only supporting my vision but also realising my dream. There are some great initiatives and platforms to support brands like mine at the moment but they can’t support everyone, for Red Bull to come forward and work with me in collaboration to help move my brand and business forward at the same rate as my peers has been invaluable”.
Alex Mattsson’s AW14 “Glimpse The Eternal” collection continues the designer’s exploration of futurism and spirituality within his rooted passion for classic work wear and exquisite tailoring, this season with 80’s Hi-Tech undertones. His complex aesthetic blends creativity and convention within a psychadelic palette producing an unquestionably contemporary perspective on 21st Century-and-beyond menswear dressing. Graphic prints and high shine synthetic fabrics suggest a little piece of the baby pink sheep fleece trimmed future. Thick horizontal black slats across the collection’s prints stand between what is beyond and what the mind will allow us to see.
