Hotel des Artists, Ping Silhouette is situated in the trendy area of Chiang Mai Thailand. Wat Gate is 100 m from Hotel des Artists, Ping Silhouette, while Warorot Market is 300 m from the property. Chiang Mai International Airport is 5 km away. For those looking for a shopping adventure then close to the hotel is Wat Ket. Which is a great choice for travellers interested in shopping, markets and food.
The concept of this hotel is all about the affordable luxury stay. Many clients also come from Bangkok to experience this hotel. From the outside, I could instantly see that the hotel is all about modern contemporary style. As I entered I instantly was impressed with the simplicity of the hotel. The design is enticing as the area itself. Its dark interior is unusual for Chiang Mai but it works very well. There was plenty of spots I could hide away and relax during my stay here.
Reception
The reception area was simple but beautiful and a great way to be greeted by the hotel staff. There is a 24-hour front desk at the property. The staff are very laid back but attentive at the same time.
The hotel has many interesting interior designs as well as furniture. I particularly noticed many guests taking shots of themselves in the see-through windows which actually looked like picture frames. The buttons inspired windows were also quirky but illustrated the relaxed and fun side of the hotel.
Swimming Pool and Garden
The swimming pool is situated on the second level of the hotel which is very rare for Thailand and why I thought this was rare and very cool indeed. The pool is not deep and therefore available to all guests. It also overlooks a very simple garden which is right next to the river. There is plenty of grass to run, relax and soak up Chiang Mai in a quiet secluded area.
Breakfast And Dining
The food is very good, well presented and competitively priced. The setting is why I chose to dine in and have a few cocktails. There is enough options here to eat well and experience good food.
Deluxe Room
I stayed in a deluxe room overlooking the garden as well as the swimming pool. I was very impressed with the standard of the room. The balcony access was a nice touch too for a nice and relaxing stay. The room had plenty of storage and I loved the bed head with the rabbit sitting above me. The bed was big and comfortable and had many pillows which I liked. There was plenty of lighting and the room was big.
The bathroom was so cute and I loved the double marble sinks. This bathroom was very clever in design and the shower and tiny bathtub were so fun to be able to use. I liked how the shutter doors opened out to the balcony a nice indoor-outdoor feel.
The shower was very powerful. The tiling and overall atmosphere of the bathroom gave it a real feel-good factor. Again I liked how I could look out to the garden and be reminded of how beautiful Thailand is.
The separate toilet was well received and overall the bathroom was a clever layout of space and design. Every room at this hotel is air-conditioned and features a flat-screen TV.
Conclusion
The Hotel des Artists Ping Silhouette concept in where affordable luxury is available to all is why it was and will be continuously booked out. It is also why may locals come here to eat and and stay too. Chiang Mai is a popular city all year round and to have a concept here such as this is great. The Hotel des Artists Ping Silhouette’s atmosphere is relaxed, fun and has a real modern feel to it. It is certainly worthwhile staying here and experience a different luxury stay.
