PFA Football Awards
Tomorrow night is the Professional Footballers’ Association Players’ Player of the Year (often called the PFA Players’ Player of the Year, the Players’ Player of the Year, or simply the Player of the Year) is an annual award given to the player who is adjudged to have been the best of the year in English Football. The award has been presented since the 1973-74 season and the winner is chosen by a vote amongst the members of the players’ trade union, the Professional Footballers Association (PFA).
The following players have been nominated for the 2014/1015 season.
- Eden Hazard (Chelsea)
- Diego Costa (Chelsea)
- Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal)
- Philippe Coutinho (Liverpool)
- Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspurs)
- David De Gea (Manchester United)
Now in the world of football one’s image has certainly taken it’s toll when it comes to menswear and fashion. They are in some cases one of the leading most marketable men on the planet when it comes to what they do in the world of football. The event hosts over 1000 both male and female footballers. I have been told it is strictly black tie. As the editor of SportStyleFashion I certainly would like to challenge this in the near future. So we all would love to be there but it is a strict event that is for the footballers alone. But we would like you to participate in our voting of who you think will be the most stylish of them all. It is a tricky one considering we are having trouble even finding out what their personal style is. Cast your vote and thank for getting involved. If any of you have images of them in everyday wear please send us a tweet and we shall add it to this article.
Here is our opinion.
1 . Alexis Sanchez
Alexis may lose out on football player of the year to Eden Hazard, but he definitely got our vote for most stylish player.
2. Diego Costa
A bully on the field that scores a lot of goals. Not easy to find him dressed up or in a photo shoot.
3. David De Gea
Comfortable as a goalie, not so comfortable when it comes to dressing up and showing off.
4. Eden Hazard
Eden sets the pitch alight with his sublime swift movements but he hardly does with his fashion sense.
5. Phillipe Coutinho
Whilst his manager Brendan Rodgers knows a few things about being stylish, here is Phillipe’s style.
6. Harry Kane
Harry had his massive breakthrough season scoring 29 goals. We can’t say he is breaking through on the fashion front.
Let us know in the comments who gets your vote for most stylish player from the 6 selected for PFA player of the year.
