Keeping it Crisp and Clean
For a business dress, nothing quite beats a plain white or pastel coloured pocket square. Treat your businesslike pocket-handkerchiefs in two ways, either by folding the body of the square into a rectangle, and having the fold itself protrude for a clean, neat Mad-Men style line across your breast pocket, or alternatively fold the square with its edges showing, but again running horizontally along with your top pocket. Both these looks are understated and professional, but add a touch of character and lift what can be a very conservative business suit to altogether more elegant heights.
