London has so many cultural activities to explore and where one chooses to stay makes it more accessible and less tiring. I was attending London Fashion Week and all its vibrant activities. There were various designers catwalks and shows, which were literally a stone’s throw away from the Strand Palace Hotel located at the Strand. This convenient location meant that I could change clothing as much as I wanted to. The Strand Palace Hotel is located in the heart of London close to Covent Garden, and his recently seen some refurbishments with a brand new lobby, restaurant, bar and recently refurbished bedrooms.
Thanks to the hotel staff I was stress free and they catered for my personal needs and that is what a fabulous hotel is all about, serving the customers demand with a smile.
At the moment in London, there are plenty of exhibitions and shows. These include Johnny Depp, Jude Law, Eddie Redmayne to name a few. So worth exploring. Alongside this, the famous Convent Garden is just around the corner to explore. Make sure to book a musical too, London is famous for that.
Superior Cosy Single Room
I checked in early at 8 am so my room was not ready yet. Due to me having to go and meet famous designers such as Felder Felder I was given a Superior Cosy Single to get me catwalk ready.
Felder Felder I meet at 10 am at London Fashion Week when I arrived at the Strand Palace Hotel. I didn’t look like this.
Superior Room
The Superior room features all the modern-day essentials, including a very large HD television and complimentary in-room Wi-Fi, which I need for on-demand work. I liked the laptop safe option because when I lose my laptop I will lose rare content. I really liked the solid wood shutters this is very niche and I never closed them but if one wanted to they could literally shut out the dawn’s light.
It was warm in London and I like the individually controlled air conditioning. I like my room to be warm and not freezing cold. The extra welcome treats such as coffee and Prosecco were like icing on the cake.
The Superior Double, with the bed measuring 1500 mm, was great to just catch up on work and also place the latest sustainable collection for our unexpected photoshoot here at Strand Palace hotel. This collection was worth over 5000 pounds and we wanted it to remain picture perfect.
Bathroom
I am a big fan of the White Company toiletries. They certainly got me ready for a catwalk so early on in the day at 9 am. The en-suite shower room was pristine, I loved the mood board and ambiance here. It was the perfect respite from driving to London from West Sussex 4 am in the morning.
Haxells Restaurant & Bar
The interior design looked amazing and the staff were brilliant. Haxells Restaurant & Bar has a great vibe and if you are too exhausted to venture out it is worth dining here. The cocktail bar had very comfortable seating and I liked the lighting here.
The food choice is all about what floats your boat?
The food is fresh, tasty and yummy. This relaxed atmosphere means my dining was fun, very enjoyable and worth exploring.
Haxells serves irresistible dishes throughout the day.
The a la carte breakfast menu had everything I needed to start my very long day. More catwalks. hair salon, meetings and picking up an Audi E-tron. I needed food to keep me going.
Conclusion
The staff here at Strand Palace went out of the way to make sure I had a room from 8 am. I had so much to do and I had various clothing change, and they were very accommodating. The location is excellent, the new refurb is divine and overall for such a busy hotel they made sure each customer was treated with extra care to make everyone’s stay a memorable one.
