In this day and age, we’re fortunate that we get to appreciate life’s little luxuries, from Egyptian cotton bed sheets and cashmere jumpers to oh-so-soft leather jackets. We really are spoiled for choice, and we choose the best.
We’re a nation that prides themselves on the finer things in life, both on the exterior, as we wear our materialistic masks but also with what we put into our bodies. You need only log on to Instagram to feel Insta-ntly guilty for that chocolate bar you ate this week which didn’t tick the gluten free, sugar-free, paleo box. Tut tut. Thy body is a temple, remember? It’s clear that we love ourselves, and quite rightly too. We work hard, right, so why not reward ourselves?
And in true British fashion, one thing we do like to reward ourselves with is a decent tipple. Sure, we’re healthy most of the time, but boy do we like a drink here and there. Gone are the days of a pint and packet of pork scratchings down the local, it’s all about cocktails and canapes now if you don’t mind.
