Kay Kwok – Chinese Fashion Lands in London

Kay Kwok

With David Bowie very much a part of the British psyche once again, the effervescent colours synonymous with Kay Kwok’s work, whether intentionally or not, has a definitive nod towards the Ziggy Stardust / Man Who Fell To Earth era of the musical genius.

Suits that are both oversized but beautifully tailored to give them a sharp yet loose fit, block blacks and greys paired with swirls of fluorescent space-like patterns and a mix of fabrics including leather and cotton all combine for a myriad of designs that while are very much fashion-led, still cross the divide into everyday menswear.

The use of oversized garments give the collection it’s relaxed summer feel and while I doubt your average gent would be packing Kwok’s work into their holiday suitcase, there are many elements of his latest collection that deserve the plaudits they should certainly attract.

Kay Kwok’s collection was on display with thanks to GQ China.
