Where To Eat
We ate at two restaurants which are all about top quality standard of tastes in food but without the prestigious atmosphere and meticulous presentation that normally is expected. This is a trend happening all over Europe. Rustic in presentation but the food and atmosphere is perfect for families, guys and anyone who is up for some adventure.
Chick ‘n’ Sours
For me, the first impression counts when it comes to a restaurant decor and I was a tad confused, to begin with. But once welcomed by the very knowledge Daniel, I was in for a real treat. I am a lover of spice and chilli and the dishes severed up were unique, tasted amazing and the atmosphere here was very cool. I ate next to a family who had two boys and we had a blast.
Side Dishes
I started off with some cocktails which was an interesting combination when it comes to Chick’n & Sours. I opted for gin, blackberry, apple, vermouth, vinegar, sour. Then I was given one of the best Disco wings I’ve tasted in a very long time. The sauce was hot and spicy. Don’t worry I used my fingers and they gave me some wipes in advance.
I teamed it with another side dish, called Szechuan aubergine, I was in heaven. I also opted for Hunan style cucumbers, which was combined with chilli, garlic and sesame. The final side dish was called pickled watermelon, with peanut, coriander and mint. It certainly put my taste buds in overdrive.
The Colonel Burger
This was just fabulous and I had a fun time trying to eat it. That’s the superb thing about this place. Its relaxed environment means you can even use you fingers and pick things up and dig into it.
