Lake District is a stunning area of the UK. Whilst exploring the area in the Bentley Bentayga V8 and the Audi SQ2 we stayed at a family-owned boutique called Cedar Manor. This elegant, inviting and relaxed sanctuary to kick back in, but also a place that offers the opportunity to share experiences and make new friends along the way.

Breakfast

This family home-style dining area is the perfect place for breakfast and to join others for drinks. Being able to relax anywhere in the house felt like home from home. With a relaxed atmosphere and freshly cut flowers, it adds to a sense of welcome and comfort.

My favourite seating area was the bar it was perfect for a cognac. The interior design was very cosey and warm.

Wansfell Room

Wansfell Room is the smallest of all the rooms. The room is 17.7 sqm/191 sq ft. This room is named after Wansfell Pike, a great little hill that sits just behind Ambleside (4 miles along the road from Cedar Manor) separating it from the village of Troutbeck. There is a great route over Wansfell to give you a brilliant day out, way to big for the Bentayga.

I liked the American Walnut for the king-size four-poster finial bed and all the other furniture. A nice reminder of the lake district.

There is no capacity for extra beds or cots in this room.

En Suite & Spa Bath

The en suite had a bath with a shower, great for a long day’s walk. very clean with fluffy towels.

Conclusion

The Lake District is a region and national park in Cumbria in northwest England. A popular vacation destination, it’s known for its glacial ribbon lakes, rugged fell mountains and historic literary associations.

Lake-District-Cumbria

The Lakes District drives and access to the market towns such as Kendal, Ambleside, and Keswick on scenic Derwentwater are bases for exploring the area and home to traditional inns, galleries of local art and outdoor equipment shops. It is one of my favourite parts of the UK.

Windermere itself is only five minutes away walk from Cedar Hotel. I liked this as it is a great village to eat, explore and experience. I could have a pint of beer and just a walk park which was very handy.

Please note children under ten years old, can’t stay.
