Shirts/T-shirts
Vertical stripes are a classic for a reason; as a stripe running down the body adds length. Do not allow the cuffs to be too long, a shorter man’s worst nightmare is to look like he has borrowed his big brother’s clothes. If possible avoid plaid and checks, the eye should always be drawn to run vertically. T-shirts that help form a longer visual image are V-necks and Scoop necks, producing an effect of a longer torso.
Sleeve length of the t-shirt should finish at the top of the triceps, elongating the arm and who has long arms? Tall people that’s who. If you’re a shorter man and wearing a button down, wear it tucked in, but if you must go un-tucked or are wearing a t-shirt, the hem will need to finish at the hip bone to avert stumpy legs.
