Let the fashion games begin in the uniform arena. Whilst the London 2012 Olympics is running £2 billion over budget the games must go on. So the world is slowly revealing their fashion expertise when it comes to the athletes uniform.
In a project that has been in development for two years, Stella McCartney has designed 590 different items of clothing, all created to maximise the athletes’ efficiency in their various disciplines. The official Team GB range caters for 900 British Olympic and Paralympic athletes competing in 46 sports.
On a controversial fashion perspective, we are all not quite sure what she was trying to prove with the current opening ceremonial design. Time will tell if the gold accessories will prove to be a gold winner for the team in the next current two weeks?
