Hermitage Amsterdam
One of my favourites was the Hermitage Amsterdam which was spectacular. It is a branch museum of the Hermitage Museum of Saint Petersburg, Russia. It is located on the banks of the Amstel river in Amsterdam. The museum is housed in the former Amstelhof, a classical style building from 1681. It is one of the largest and oldest museums in the world, it was founded in 1764 by Catherine the Great and has been open to the public since 1852.
This museum houses two permanent presentations, one describes Netherlands–Russia relations and the other details the history of the Amstelhof building. Temporary exhibitions usually are scheduled for six months.
