Dear Hotel Madrid – 360 Degree Rooftop Views

Dear Hotel Madrid – 360 Degree Rooftop Views

Situated on the famous Gran Via, the main avenue through the centre of Madrid, on the corner of Plaza de España, the Dear Hotel just opened for business in August 2015.  The access to the shops and tourist sites is great. The reception is small and very deceptive when you first walk in. This makes it more exciting because what is about to greet you is mind blowing. There are 14 levels in this hotel and the first thing I would encourage you to do is get out on the 12 floor and have a look down at the beautiful marble staircase. It is just beautiful when it comes to classic interior design and it gives you an appreciation of heights.

The RoofTop Restaurant 360 Degrees

Imagine being in the centre of Madrid and been able to eat, wine and dine with a 360 degree view of the city. This is what the Dear Hotel Madrid has to offer. It is just absolutely mind blowing. It also has a small plunge pool for the hot and sunny days where you can appreciate what Madrid looks like from a rooftop. The following images are taken at various times of the day. If you choose to have breakfast give yourself plenty of time to appreciate this magnificent view.

Breakfast – Healthy And Fresh

It’s great to see hotels understanding that presenting clients with healthy options is important. The variety of healthy options on offer just matches the views. The staff where very attentive and the service was excellent and friendly. I was really impressed with the fresh juice options with my favorite being the kiwi juice. With the amazing views on offer I was not in any hurry to leave. The additional egg option was great too, I loved the message that was printed on the plates it made my stay even more special.

 Room 1201

There are 162 rooms, divided into deluxe, premium and suite categories, some with large terraces. Unusually, all rooms face onto the street. I am a huge fan of natural flooring and having enough space to move around in your room. I liked the sliding door option so if you need to work late and your partner is asleep then you can shut them off literally. The lighting and décor was lovely and teamed with gorgeous white walls and a huge bed. It was the perfect luxury get away. My views were lovely too and the TV was massive. The different bedside lights were lovely and created a very relaxing feel.

The lounge space with coffee and tea options was nice. Suites have a coffee machine and all have rooms have a kettle, which is not normal in Spain. Water is complimentary and the wardrobes are open plan with detachable hangers. Really handy when you work in the world of fashion.

I am a huge fan of black marble bathrooms.  The partly open-plan tile stone bathroom was dramatically black with good-quality products and a professional hairdryer. There was a great walk-in shower with overhead and handheld shower heads. Towels and robes were top quality and massive, so if you’re on the taller side than you will love this. The bathroom products were personal and made you feel like they were interested in connecting with you. The white sliding door option which allowed you to shut off the bathroom completed the sleeping mood and set the scene of relaxing elegance.

The bed was huge, the linen was lovely and the pillows were perfect for a great night sleep. The white walls were lovely and especially in the summer when it gets super hot in Madrid this is a great place to chill.

My bedroom view

Conclusion

The Dear Hotel Madrid is unique in its interior design and the rooftop view. It oozes modern interior design along side classic history. The hotel was busy but you never felt that anyone was about. You could not hear the traffic at all even though you were right in the middle of Madrid, which was great.  This is a perfect balance, because Madrid is a vibrant city that when its time to escape from it, then this hotel allows you to do that. The overall stay reflected a small modern flat right in the heart of Madrid.
