London Collections Men – BFC Showcase for Male Fashion

London Collections Men – BFC Showcase for Male Fashion

In an effort to further stimulate the creative minds behind British menswear, the British Fashion Council is once again supporting creativity and progress with the Fashion Forward awards. This season, first time recipients of the award Christopher Raeburn and Sibling join Lou Dalton and will receive tailored business support provided by the BFC, in addition to a financial award to assist in showing either a catwalk show or presentation at London Collections: Men in June.

And indeed, London’s reputation of stirring things up a bit is gaining momentum. There is, of course, the side of Savile Row’s world-famous tailoring which we do not mean to discredit in any way, but it seems while the city is rooted in this traditionalism, its branches carry the fruit of a new, more courageous approach. With this in mind, let’s all hope designers opt for diversity on the runways as well! We don’t mind the skinny boys with long hair and sad eyes flying over from Paris but embracing some new faces wouldn’t hurt either. And yes, this is just me trying to make J.W. Anderson book Ryan Bertroche for the next fetish feast.

That said, I’m going to spend the next couple of days brushing my hair and polishing my shoes. See you all at the after-parties.
