Peacoat
Chances are you have owned a Peacoat and never once thought of its military connotations such is its place in the psyche of fashion. Any coat deemed fit enough to serve on the harsh seas is good enough for the general public and this truly is a wonderful piece of design. While many items pinched from the military have adapted their own style to suit the whims of fashion, the Peacoat with its heavy wool fabric, anchor buttons and navy blue colouring has not changed a jot.
