It is the big month in where New York, London, and Italy fight it out for another new collection to continue to flood the over-saturated ever fast-changing fashion industry. It is the industry in the world which account for so much damage to our eco -system.
So how eco focused are the designers collections being made this winter?
Sustainability has become one of the biggest issues in the industry in recent years as consumers increasingly demand an eco approach, while company employees are also seeking eco-focused companies to work for. And although the government seems to blow hot and cold on the issue, the chances of regulatory changes in the years ahead are growing too.
Other study findings include 54% of survey respondents have reduced the use of environmentally damaging materials in their products.
New York Fashion Week Eco Trends
With its Spring/Summer 2020 New York Fashion Week Presentation at Pier 59 Studios on Friday, September 6, 2019, SevenCrash New York made gains in breaking fashion boundaries and bringing sustainable technology and global social issues together.
The experiment is presented in two parts: Decode and The Lab. Each part combines eco-friendly fabrics transformability and the brand’s heritage workwear designs functionality to convey a focus on the future environment, with elements around the vision of “functionality” and “transformability.”
SevenCrash New York’s fabrications adopt international UNIFI benchmarks and offer all-weather proofing.
Carlos Campos Spring/Summer 2020
Friday, September 6, 2019 at Spring Studios / Gallery 2, Carlos Campos presented his Spring/Summer 2019 Menswear Collection to guests including Musician Dela Ghetto and actors Ephiram Sykes, Griffin Matthews, and Ismael Cruz Cordova.
The inspiration for the collection was a refreshed look of 90’s men’s fashion and the bold, bright colors associated in the early part of the decade.
No mention at all in this collection about ec0 – focused methods.
It is really a hit and miss still in 2019. Money rules the roost after all!
